Students will be able to present client cases with which they are actively engaged to receive feedback, support, and skill development opportunities from their peers and educators. Students will also meet regularly for individual supervision sessions to engage in their self-reflection and healing/development process to support their capacity to be present to themselves and others. Didactic classes will integrate self-awareness teachings and practices and practical skill development for client sessions.

  • Analyze and contemplate the underlying reasons driving patients to pursue psilocybin facilitation.

  • Understand and articulate the multifaceted reasons behind patients' decision to use psilocybin.

  • Evaluate the range of personal experiences and emotions reported by patients following psilocybin usage, approaching them with an open and unbiased perspective.

  • Recognize and express therapists' own reactions to patients expressing interest in psilocybin facilitation.

  • View both introspective, growth-oriented psilocybin experiences and recreational or dissociative ones with equal respect and understanding.

  • Understand and express the potential of psilocybin facilitation to heighten transference.

  • Delve into how ketamine-related transferences might intersect with therapist transferences.

  • Anticipate potential changes in patients' language, perceptions, and self-identity post-psilocybin experiences.

  • Discuss candidly, in suitable contexts, one's own emotional reactions (countertransference) to patient accounts, especially as they relate to personal experiences with psychedelic facilitation.

  • Identify signs of psychological disturbances that indicate a need for a more intensive care approach.

  • Outline comprehensive support services for patients, encompassing family or community resources.

  • Strategize the incorporation of non-pharmacological self-improvement methods within the framework of psilocybin facilitation.
